Panda Fight Club is a NFT collection of 8,888 unique Pandas that was offered for public minting on September 14th, 2021 at 6PM EST.

Apart from being unique and randomly generated from a hundred or so different hand-made traits, Pandas should have the ability to fight against each other later this year.

The team behind the project is anonymous, or at least we couldn’t find readily available information on them on their website or Discord server. First messages on the Discord server date back to August 30, 2021, which suggests a 14-day hype build-up timeframe. It is unknown whether the team did make use of advertizing and marketing outside of Twitter, Discord and rarity sniper.

Roadmap includes an ETH giveaway to early adopters, and a donation to Pandas International.

Despite this seemingly exciting roadmap, as of press time Fighting Pandas did not gain traction to say the least, as only 1.2K pandas have been minted so far out of a maximum supply of 10k. They are currently changing hands at 0.05 ETH floor price, down from 0.08 ETH mint price. It is noteworthy that contrary to what many projects do nowadays, reveal was instant.

It is unclear whether the project developers intend to burn the remaining tokens. There is currently no incentive for newcomers to mint new ones as revealed pandas are already much cheaper to get on the secondary market, thus creating a classic vicious circle: the collection cannot take off while there are still tokens to be minted, but they won’t be minted if floor price is below their mint price…

Regardless, spirits remain quite high on the server Discord, which, while not the most active out there (it is fair to assume that a lot of the 10k+ members are bots), has quite an engaged and enthusiastic community still believing in the project.
