ONE Shogun is a collection of 10,000 unique NFTs whose public mint started on September 17, 2021 2AM UTC at 0.1 ETH for each token.

The collection consists of 5,000 Samurai and 5,000 Ninjas, all divided into various randomized Clans.

The main idea behind this project is to build a game where Samurai and Ninjas will compete again each other, or, as the developers put it: “ONE Shogun is a new fast paced strategy blockchain-based game with the goal to become the most exciting metaverse gamers have seen. With a Play-To-Earn(PTE), Player vs Player(PVP) concept, most matches will complete between 8-10 mins”.

While the tokens are still unrevealed, sneak-peeks released by the team undoubtedly have a certain esthetic appeal showing hard work and a dedication from the team behind the project to produce real artistic value. It is understood that each token will have unique attributes with various criteria of rarity.

On its Discord server, the team behind the project claims that it “mostly resides in Indonesia and Philippines”, although it declined to reveal its identity for now.

As of now, about 3,000 out of 10,000 available tokens have been minted. The reveal will take place on September 24, 2021.

On OpenSea, ONE Shoguns are currently changing hands at a floor price of approximately 0.09 ETH, slightly below their mint price, with a total sales volume of 95.5 ETH.

It is worth however mentioning that today (Monday September 20, 2021) is a red day for literally everything, both for traditional assets and cryptocurrencies, and volumes and prices are way down across all the space, so today’s prices may be not a good indicator. ONE Shogun average prices were indeed higher a couple of days ago.

The project’s developers seem rather upfront and transparent about the game development, and unlike many other projects they did not set completely unrealistic goals regarding their roadmap, according to which they will start developing the game on October 30, 2021, and to release it by June 2022, with a playable demo available in May 2022.

The project has a rather active and loyal community of about 25K members on Discord.

The devs seems very engaged and eager to build a long-term project and interact with their community, asking for feedback and proposals and acting on them.

It remains to be seen whether the devs will decide to stop the mint or to reduce the mint price in order to give a chance to the existing tokens to gain value on the secondary market, as there is currently no incentive for newcomers to mint at 0.1 ETH when they can buy the same unrevealed token on the secondary market for less.

On the other hand, the reveal on September 24 could also boost sales volume when buyers will finally be able to see what the tokens look like and compare their rarity and look.
