After a few searches around on the Internet, we found an interview of him published on Medium on August 19, 2021 that gave us a little bit more information about him.
As it turns out, Jean Paul Rivas was I “born and raised in Venezuela, where he spent most of his youth. He ran different successful businesses, got bored and chose to travel the world and pursue other passions, such as art.
There seems to be some controversial allegations about his past and Venezuela, and mainly how and who he earned his money with back then. Digging further, we did find a handful of articles alleging connections with a prominent Venezuelan businessman currently under probe for corruption. But this does not seem to worry Jean Paul Rivas, who argues that the fact he can “move freely” shows that there is no matter of concern for him.
